Terms of Service
Last updated: 1 November 2026
These terms govern your use of Utopia Dreams VFX. Please read them before using the app: by creating an account or using it, you accept them.
1. Who we are
Utopia Dreams VFX (the «app», at https://app.utopiadreams-vfx.com) is provided by Raúl Bellmunt Tabero (tax ID 52408413S), Calle Ciudad Real, 12, 08227 Terrassa (Barcelona), España. Contact: hello@utopiadreams-vfx.com.
2. The service
The app lets you plan, write, illustrate and produce short videos with generative artificial intelligence: stories, characters, settings, props, storyboards, images, video clips, voiceover, music and editing, with export to video formats and to Unreal Engine projects, and plugins that connect your stories with Unreal Engine and Unity.
The app is in beta: it is free, access is by request, and features may change or fail more often than in a finished product.
We may improve, change or remove features, and change the AI models available, to keep the service working and up to date. If a change significantly affects you, we will let you know in advance whenever possible.
3. Accounts
You must be 18 or over to use the app. You request access with your name and email address, and our team decides whether to approve each request.
Keep your password safe and don't share your account. You are responsible for what is done with it; tell us right away if you think someone has used it without your permission.
The access tokens you create for the Unreal Engine and Unity plugins, or for an AI assistant you connect through MCP, act as you on your stories: keep them secret like a password, and revoke a token in the app as soon as you no longer need it or think someone else has it.
An AI assistant you connect with your account (OAuth) acts as you on your stories in the same way, and can spend your credits where a tool says so. Allow only assistants you started connecting yourself, and disconnect any you no longer use in the app.
4. Acceptable use
Don't use the app to:
- Break the law or infringe other people's rights, including intellectual property and the rights to honour, privacy and one's own image.
- Create or spread sexual content involving minors, non-consensual intimate content, content that harasses or promotes hatred, or content that promotes violence, terrorism or self-harm.
- Impersonate anyone or create misleading content about real people without their consent, or deceive or defraud anyone.
- Upload images of other people, or works of others, that you don't have the right to use.
- Get around the app's limits or security, access other people's accounts or data, or overload the service.
- Break Google's Generative AI Prohibited Use Policy, which applies to the AI models the app uses.
Before the AI reads the text you bring, an automatic check (Google Cloud Model Armor) stops text that tries to manipulate the AI, malicious links and child sexual abuse material; a stopped text isn't charged.
Adult mode, which our team turns on account by account and the person accepts in the app, allows fictional violence, blood and some gore for horror and action films for adults (18+). It never allows sexual content, minors or real people (no uploaded photos or cloned voices), its clips are made by a fal.ai model and marked as AI-generated, and you are responsible for publishing them only where the law and each platform allow.
We may remove content and suspend accounts that break these rules. To run the service and prevent abuse, our team can see in the admin panel the clips and movies made in the app, as the Privacy Policy explains.
5. Your content and generated content
What you upload or write is yours. You allow us to store and process it, and to send it to our providers, only to provide the app to you (for example, to generate the images and videos you ask for).
As far as the law allows, the content generated for you with the app is yours, and you may use it for any lawful purpose, including commercial ones. AI models may produce similar results for other people, and generated content may not be protected by copyright in every country.
Review generated content before using it: you are responsible for how you use it and for making sure it doesn't infringe anyone's rights.
When you ask for a review with the client, send its link only to the people who should review the work: anyone with the link can watch the movie and read the comments, with the name of who wrote each one. Reviewers need no account; what they write stays with the review and goes when you delete it, the story or your account (see the Privacy Policy).
The app remembers your usual choices, the people from your stories and the corrections you keep asking for, to start new stories the way you like (see the Privacy Policy). It is a suggestion you can change in each story, and you can edit, delete or turn off that memory in Settings.
Generated content is marked as such, as article 50 of the EU's AI Act requires: every movie and soundtrack you export says in its metadata, with the IPTC standard, that it was made with AI; the images, clips, music and voices made with Google's models carry Google's invisible SynthID watermark; and the movies you share with a link, the descriptions of the videos you upload to YouTube and the text of what you publish on social networks say so too. Don't remove or alter these marks, and don't help anyone do it.
When you publish what you make with the app as part of your work or business, the law makes you responsible for telling your audience that it was made with AI. If it shows realistic people, places or events that could pass for real, say so where viewers see it, for example with the «AI» label the export can put on the picture; in an obvious work of fiction, mentioning it in the credits or the description is enough. If you publish text written with AI to inform the public on matters of public interest, say so too, unless a person has reviewed it and someone takes editorial responsibility for it.
6. Plans and credits
Generating content uses credits, and the app shows the credits each action uses before you confirm it. There are four plans: Free and three paid plans (Creador, Pro and Estudio), each with the features and the monthly credits the plans page shows. Plan credits are used first; then usage credits, if you allow it.
Paid plans are subscriptions billed monthly or yearly, in advance, at the price the app shows before you subscribe. Prices exclude VAT, which is added at checkout according to your country; companies in the EU with a valid VAT number are invoiced without it (reverse charge). Payments are processed by Stripe; we never see or store your card details. Companies can also agree a contract invoiced every month. When a company makes videos with other people's personal data (their faces, voices or names), the account holder or the team's owner can accept the Data Processing Agreement in the app (Settings and information → Data protection), which governs how we process those data on its behalf (Art. 28 GDPR).
Your subscription renews by itself at the end of each period until you cancel it. You can cancel at any time from the app (Manage subscription): the plan stays until the end of the period you paid, then your account moves to Free. You can change plan at any time; Stripe charges or credits the difference for the rest of the period (proration). If a payment fails, Stripe tries again for a few days; meanwhile you keep your plan, but it gets no new monthly credits, and if the payment doesn't go through the subscription ends. If we change your plan's price, you keep the price you had until your next renewal; we tell you before it, and you can cancel before the new price applies at no cost.
Automatic top-up. In Credits you can choose to buy usage credits automatically when your credits fall below a number you set: each time, the amount you chose, plus VAT, is charged to the card you saved for it, with an invoice, and never more in a calendar month (Madrid time) than the cap you set. By saving the card you authorise those charges without you being there. You can change the settings or turn it off at any time in Credits; it applies to the next top-up. If a charge fails, the top-up turns itself off and we tell you by email.
Each paid plan starts with an 18-day free trial, once per person: one trial per email and per card. You give your card when you start it and nothing is charged during the trial. The app and the payment page show, before you confirm, the day the trial ends and the price that will be charged that day. Unless you cancel before then, on that day Stripe charges the plan's price and the subscription renews by itself as described above. We email you three days before the first charge. To cancel, open Credits → Cancel trial in the app: one click, nothing is charged, the plan ends with the trial and your account moves to Free, keeping your stories. During the trial you get 3,000 credits rather than the plan's monthly credits, and video, LED backgrounds and exports are made at up to 1080p; the plan's monthly credits and 4K arrive with the first payment. If that payment fails, the plan ends and your account moves to Free. If your email or card already had a trial, the new one is cancelled at once without any charge, and you can subscribe without a trial.
Each plan gives its credits at the start of every month counted from the day you subscribed, also on yearly plans. Unused plan credits pile up for up to 3 months; at the end of each 3-month cycle the balance goes back to one month's credits and the rest is lost (on Free, every month). The app shows when that happens and warns you a week before. Usage credits, bought when you need more, never expire. Credits have no monetary value outside the app and can't be exchanged for money or transferred, except as described below for teams. Unused credits aren't refunded, except where the law requires it. If a generation fails, its credits are given back automatically.
If you are a consumer in the European Union, you can withdraw within 14 days, without giving a reason: from a subscription or a project pass, from the day you paid, and from a purchase of usage credits or the add-on, from the day you bought it. A subscription or a pass starts at once because you ask for it: if you withdraw, we give back what you paid minus the part of the service already provided (the days used and the credits spent). Usage credits and the add-on are digital content: before paying, you ask us to deliver them at once and acknowledge that you lose the right of withdrawal once you start using them, and the receipt we email you confirms it; while you haven't used them you can still withdraw. To withdraw, use «Withdraw from the contract» in Credits: you say which payment it is for and confirm it in a second step, and we confirm it by email straight away. We refund within 14 days with the same payment method. Companies don't have this right.
You can add a paid support package (Basic or Premium) to any plan, Free included. It is a subscription of its own, billed monthly or yearly in advance, which renews, changes and is cancelled like the plans, from the app or Stripe's billing portal; bought in a team's space it covers the team's members. What each package includes is what the support cards show. Support works only through requests (tickets) opened from the help chat and followed there, in «My requests», where our answers arrive (and by email); it doesn't include phone calls, messaging apps or meetings. Its response times (two working days for Basic, eight working hours for Premium, Monday to Friday, 9:00 to 18:00 Madrid time) are targets we work to meet, not guarantees, and missing one gives no right to a refund or compensation. Support helps you use the app; it doesn't include making your films for you or custom development. The Estudio plan includes the Basic package for as long as the plan lasts.
You can add the Series add-on to any paid plan. It is a subscription of its own, billed monthly or yearly in advance, which renews and is cancelled like the plans, from the app or Stripe's billing portal; bought in a team's space it covers the team's members. It lets you create series of videos and produce them in batches, with the minutes of finished video each month that its card shows; those minutes don't pile up from one month to the next, and each minute past them is paid with credits at the price the card shows. The people you invite to a series don't need the add-on. A series with many videos can have a contract with its own price instead, agreed in writing.
You can add the Plató virtual add-on to the Pro plan: the Unreal Engine and Unity plugins, the 3D set kept in sync with them and the engine orders from AI assistants, at the price its card shows. It is a subscription of its own, billed in advance monthly or yearly, that renews and is cancelled like the plans; bought in a team's space, it covers its members. It only works on Pro; the Estudio plan already includes all of it.
You can add the Agency add-on to the Pro or Estudio plan, at the price its card shows: you file each of your client reviews under one of up to 10 clients, see the minutes each one approved month by month and print the approval record of each review. It is a subscription of its own, billed in advance monthly or yearly, that renews and is cancelled like the plans. The approval record shows what reviewers did in the review link (their name, email, decision and date); it is a record of the app, not a signed contract.
A project pass gives a paid plan (Pro or Estudio) for 30 days for one payment, at the price the app shows before you pay. It isn't a subscription: it doesn't renew and has no trial, and it comes with the plan's credits for a month. Another pass of the same plan, or of a cheaper one, adds 30 days to the one you have. When it ends, your account goes back to the plan you pay for, or to Free, keeping your stories. It can also be paid by invoice, by writing to us.
A school licence (Aula, Campus or partner classroom) is agreed in writing with a school, vocational training centre or university for one academic year and invoiced. It works as the Pro plan with the Plató virtual add-on, without 4K, for the people in the school's team and only for teaching: what is made with it may not be sold or used for clients. It comes with the course's credits when it starts, which are usage credits.
Pro and Estudio teams can pay for extra people beyond those their plan includes, at the price each plan's card shows (on Pro, up to 10 people in all), as part of the plan's subscription.
A team has its own wallet of credits. Its owner buys credits for it, invites the members and can remove them at any time; while a member works in the team's space, their generations are paid from the team's wallet and their new stories belong to the team, which keeps them if the member leaves. A member can also bring a story they made in their personal space into the team: it then belongs to the team like the others, and while they are in the team they can take it back to their personal space, where the other members no longer have access to it. When the owner closes the team, its stories go back to the members who made them and what's left in its wallet goes to the owner's own wallet.
The Unreal Engine and Unity plugins come with the Estudio plan, in the Filmmaker mode, or with the Plató virtual add-on on the Pro plan; the LED backgrounds, with the Pro and Estudio plans. An Engines add-on paid with credits before the plans keeps working until it ends, but doesn't renew. Without any of them, the plugins stop working and the app revokes their access tokens; a token used with AI assistants (MCP), which work from the Pro plan, isn't revoked while the plan has them.
The add-on «Models from other companies» unlocks, on the account of whoever buys it, the AI models of other companies than Google that the app offers through fal.ai (such as MiniMax, Kling, Wan and Seedance for video, «Create in 3D» and adult mode). It is one payment, at the price the app shows before you pay, only on a paid plan; it stays on your account for good, even if you later move to Free, and it comes with the usage credits the app shows. Those models are paid with usage credits only, never with the plan's credits. We may stop offering a model when its maker withdraws it; the add-on then keeps the rest.
Each plugin download is for the person who downloads it and carries an ID of that download, which the plugin sends with its calls; don't share the download or your access tokens. We record the plugin's downloads and installations to check that only people with an account and the add-on use it (see the Privacy Policy).
If you send a suggestion from Suggestions and feedback and we approve it, we give you 1,000 credits, once for each approved suggestion, and tell you by email. We decide which suggestions to approve, for example the ones we plan to build; sending one doesn't oblige us to build it, and an idea we had already received or planned may go without a reward. By sending a suggestion or feedback, you let us use it freely to improve the service, without any other payment, and you confirm that it doesn't include anyone else's confidential information. If you attach files, such as a screenshot or a screen recording of an error, attach only what you have the right to share, and avoid showing other people's personal data; we use them only to understand and fix what you tell us. We may answer your message in the app and by email; an answer is for information and doesn't oblige us to build or change anything.
During the beta, each new account gets 25,000 free credits. If they run low, you can ask for more free credits from the credits screen; we decide whether to give them and how many, and we tell you by email when we do.
New accounts start on the Free plan: the Beginner mode, films of up to a minute and a half, no exports and, after your first 2 stories, the cheaper AI models. Features of other plans stay visible but locked, saying which plan has them. Accounts that had the full studio during the beta keep it until 30 days after the plans launch, and we warn them in the app and by email; then they move to Free unless they subscribe.
7. Cap per finished minute and shot guarantee
From the Creador plan, a finished minute of film has a cap in credits that depends on the quality of its final clips, which the app shows before you finalize a shot (for example, 4,800 credits a minute with Veo 3.1 Fast at 1080p). When you export a film or your client approves it in a review link, if what the story cost is above the cap for the film's length, we give the difference back as plan credits (as usage credits on Free), with a line in your credits history. Each later export or approval only gives back what grew since.
The cap covers fair use: up to 4 drafts per shot in Veo 3.1 Lite and one final clip, plus the script, the pictures, the narration and the music. What you spend beyond that, such as more drafts or final clips made again, isn't counted. It counts the shots that are in the film's edit and the credits the story's wallet was charged for that story; the models from other companies aren't covered.
Shot guarantee: if a final clip comes out with a technical defect (a cut inside the shot, another face, lips out of sync with the voice, garbled writing), «Technical defect» under the shot gives its credits back so you can finalize it again for free. Once per clip and per shot, within 7 days of the clip being made, and up to a tenth of your plan's monthly credits each month. It covers technical defects, not changes of taste or of the story.
8. Referral programme
Each account can invite other people with its own link or code, in Credits → Invite someone. When someone asks for access with it and, once approved, pays the first month or year of a paid plan, both of you get usage credits: 3,000 if that person chooses Creador, 9,000 with Pro and 35,000 with Estudio. They are usage credits as described above: they don't expire, aren't money, can't be exchanged for money and can't be transferred.
The credits arrive 14 days after that first payment, as long as it hasn't been refunded and the subscription is still on. If the subscription ends or the payment is refunded before then, the invitation doesn't count. A free trial counts only once it turns into a payment.
- Only the first code a person uses counts, and only for someone who never had an account, a free trial or an invitation reward with us.
- Someone who asks for access from the «Try it» button of a film you shared counts as invited by you, with these same rules.
- Each person can earn up to 10 rewards for inviting in any 12 months; the people they invite still get theirs.
- There is a single level: you earn for the people you invite, not for the people they invite in turn.
- Inviting yourself doesn't count: with another address, with a card or a Stripe customer of yours, or within your own team. We check it, our team may review or block a doubtful invitation, and we may take back credits given against these rules.
- Share your link only with people who may be interested, from your own email, chat or networks, and without spam. We never write to the people you invite.
We may change or end the programme by announcing it in the app; the rewards already earned are kept. During the beta our team still approves each access request, with or without an invitation.
9. Discounts and promotion codes
Some campaigns give a promotion code: you type it on the payment page, which shows the discount and how long it lasts before you pay. Codes are for new customers and for the plans they say, one per payment, and can't be exchanged for money. On a yearly plan the discount applies once, to the year's payment. A code may have a last day and a number of uses.
Founder price: whoever subscribes to a yearly plan by 31 January 2027 (Madrid time) gets 30 % off the first yearly payment, applied on its own at checkout; renewals are at the normal price. It doesn't add to the education and non-profit discount or to a promotion code.
Schools, universities, teachers, students and non-profits may ask for 30 % off any paid plan for 12 months, from Credits, telling us their organisation and a way to check it. If our team approves it, the payment page applies it by itself to the subscriptions started in the next 12 months; it can't be combined with a promotion code. We may check it again and end the discount if the information given wasn't true.
When you cancel a plan or a trial, we may offer you once a discount to stay, such as 25 % for two months. You can turn it down and cancel in the same step: cancelling never depends on it.
10. Loyalty gift
After 6 and after 12 months of paying a plan without a break, we give you once each a quarter of the plan's monthly credits as usage credits (for example, 2,250 with Creador). If the plan ends, the count starts again when you subscribe again, and each gift is given only once per person. The gift isn't money and can't be exchanged for money.
11. Third-party services
The app uses third-party services, such as Google Sign-In, Google Photos, Google Drive, YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn and Google Cloud's AI models, and links to others, such as Project Genie. Their own terms apply to them, and we are not responsible for them.
When you upload a video to YouTube from the app, you agree to be bound by the YouTube Terms of Service. You are responsible for what you publish on your channel.
When you publish to TikTok, Instagram, Facebook or LinkedIn from the app, you agree to that network's terms and policies, including, on TikTok, its Music Usage Confirmation and, for branded content, its Branded Content Policy. You are responsible for what you publish with your account and for disclosing commercial content.
You may only clone your own voice, or the voice of someone who has given you their express permission and reads the consent sentence themselves. Don't use a cloned voice to impersonate anyone or to mislead others.
Before you use a real person's photos or voice, the app asks you to confirm you have their consent. You are responsible for that confirmation being true; we keep who made it and when, and may show it to the person concerned or to the authorities if they ask.
12. The blog and its news by email
The blog (/blog) shares news about generative AI in film and video, written by us from public sources that each post cites and links to. It is information, not professional advice; the sources' content belongs to their authors, and we are not responsible for their pages.
Anyone can subscribe to the blog's news by email, free of charge, with an account or without one. The subscription starts when you confirm it with the link we email you, and you can leave at any time with the link in every email. The privacy policy explains what we keep and for how long.
13. The monthly email with the app's news
On the 1st of each month we email every account with access what changed in the app the month before, in the account's language. It is free and has no advertising from anyone else. You can stop it at any time, free of charge, with the link in every email, with your email app's «Unsubscribe» button or in Settings → «Monthly news by email», and turn it back on there. The privacy policy explains what we keep for it.
14. Availability and liability
We work to keep the app available and working well, but we can't guarantee that it will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that the AI models will always give the results you expect. Keep your own copies of important work by downloading your videos and exports.
We are liable for damage we cause intentionally or through gross negligence, and in any other case where the law makes us liable. Otherwise, as far as the law allows, we are not liable for indirect damage or loss of profits. Nothing in these terms limits the rights that consumer law gives you.
15. Ending the service
You can stop using the app and ask us to delete your account at any time. We may suspend or close accounts that seriously or repeatedly break these terms, and we will tell you why unless the law prevents it.
16. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. We will publish the new version on this page with its date and, if the changes are significant, we will let you know in advance in the app or by email.
17. Law and jurisdiction
These terms are governed by Spanish law. If you are a consumer, you can go to the courts of the place where you live; otherwise, the courts of Barcelona (Spain) have jurisdiction.
